Majestic Moment

The place Majestic Moment seems to save its best for is Fontwell Park, the quirky figure-of-eight track on the West Sussex coast. Two wins from three visits there is the kind of record that makes trainers deliberately route horses back to a track, and sure enough, it won there just last week on 24 April 2026. Its very first career win also came at Fontwell, back in October 2025, so there is a genuine thread running through the story. Some horses simply click with a particular track's layout, rhythm, or ground — whatever it is, Fontwell clearly suits this one down to the ground.

Speaking of ground, wet or slightly soft conditions bring out something extra. In four races on that kind of surface, Majestic Moment has won two of them — a 50% win rate that any trainer would take. Given that Devon in spring and autumn tends to produce exactly that kind of ground, trainer D Summersby at St. Giles-on-the-Heath is well placed to find the right opportunities. The yard has sent out three winners this season, and Majestic Moment accounts for a meaningful chunk of that tally.

The partnership with jockey Bryan Carver is worth noting. In six races together, they have won three — again that 1-in-2 ratio that tells you these two work well as a team. That is an unusually productive relationship, and it is no coincidence that the recent winning streak has come with Carver in the saddle. One small caveat: when stepped up to stronger company — the top-level Class 1 and 2 races in Britain sit above Class 4, and Majestic Moment has raced at Class 4 three times without winning — the horse has yet to prove it can compete at the highest level. But right now, on a soft track at Fontwell with Carver aboard, this is about as reliable a proposition as you will find.
