Luna Run

Her career began with a breakthrough win at Taunton on 23 April 2025, and since then she has been a dependable performer rather than a star. Most of her races come at Class 5 level—the bottom rung of British racing's ladder—where she has won once from thirteen attempts. What matters more is that Luna Run is being ridden consistently by jockey Isabel Williams, and while their partnership has managed only a single win from thirteen races together, it appears to have steadied the horse's performance over the past few months. Harry Derham, her trainer at Upper Lambourn in Berkshire, runs a yard in fine form this season with fifty-seven winners to his name already, and Luna Run's recent success suggests she is benefiting from the confidence and momentum flowing through the stable.

Her last six races tell the story of a horse finding form at exactly the right time: a win followed by a third place, another win with a sixth in between, and a couple of mid-field efforts before this week's victory. For a seven-year-old at this level, staying sound and competing regularly is an achievement in itself, and Luna Run has earned her place as a dependable member of the yard.
