Luminessa

She is trained by Jack W Davison out of Dunboyne in County Meath, a yard that has sent out 8 winners already this season, which tells you the operation knows how to get horses to the line first. The fact that Luminessa hasn't managed it yet isn't necessarily a reflection on the yard — young horses often take time to find their feet, and at three years old she is still at the stage where things can click into place quickly. Sometimes it just takes the right race on the right day.

With nothing in the win column from four attempts, there is not a great deal to work with in terms of patterns or trends, but her the yard clearly believe there is something worth persevering with — she keeps getting runs. Whether that faith is rewarded is the interesting question, and given she raced as recently as yesterday, the answer may not be far away.
