His two wins came at different stages of his career. The first arrived at Dundalk in December 2022, and the second — and most recent — came at Naas in July 2023. That Naas victory is now 35 months in the past, which is a long time in racing. He has not won in his last six races, and his recent form figures of 4-10-17-9-8-2 tell a mixed story: a second place finish in there suggests he can still get competitive, but the 17th and the 10th suggest the good days are becoming rarer.
His most regular jockey is Keithen Kennedy, who has partnered him eight times without a winner between them. That is not necessarily a criticism of either horse or rider — sometimes a pairing just does not click, and sometimes the horse simply is not good enough on the day. Trainer R Donohoe's yard has sent out six winners this season, so there is form in the stable, even if Livingston Range has not been contributing to it.
Raced just yesterday and still active at eight, he is clearly a durable sort who has held up well physically over a long career. Whether another win is coming is hard to say — 35 months is a long drought — but he keeps showing up, and occasionally, as that second place recently proves, he still has a bit of spark left.
