Little Jaybee

That one win came at Wolverhampton on 30 June 2025, which now sits eleven months in the past. Wolverhampton is an all-weather track that runs year-round, and getting off the mark there was a genuine moment — but the horse hasn't been able to build on it since. Two placed efforts from eight races suggest there is some ability lurking in there, just not the consistency needed to turn it into wins.

Little Jaybee is trained by Tom Ward, whose yard is tucked away in Upper Lambourn in Berkshire — one of the heartlands of British racing, surrounded by some of the best training facilities in the country. Ward has sent out 14 winners this season, which shows the operation is ticking along nicely. Whether Little Jaybee can add to that tally is the question. At three years old there is still time to develop and find a race that suits, but the recent run of form means the horse will need to find something extra to suggest the Wolverhampton win was a sign of things to come rather than a one-off.
