The trainer is P Twomey, operating out of Cashel in County Tipperary, and the yard has been in excellent form this season with 42 winners already on the board. That is not a stable sending out the occasional runner and hoping for the best — 42 winners in a season suggests a well-run, well-stocked operation that knows what it is doing. When a yard in that kind of form decides a horse is ready to race, it tends to mean something.
What happens today is anyone's guess. Some horses take to their debut like they have been doing it all their lives; others need the experience before they find their feet. But between the pedigree and the yard behind them, Little Honesty arrives here with as much going for them as any first-timer could reasonably hope for.
