Competing primarily at Class 2 level, Lexington Blitz has won 1 from 5 attempts at that grade — a 20% win rate, or roughly 1 in 5. That might sound modest, but these are the races where the competition thins out, the prize money rises, and the margin for error shrinks. Holding your own at that level, let alone winning twice in quick succession, is genuinely impressive for a four-year-old still developing.

Robert Cowell's yard is in fine fettle to support that ambition, having sent out 24 winners already this season. Cowell is a trainer with a sharp eye for placing a horse in exactly the right race at exactly the right moment, and Lexington Blitz's recent record suggests the partnership is humming. The horse's career began with a first win at Windsor back in August 2024, and the trajectory since — steadily climbing in class, winning when it matters — tells the story of a horse that has grown into its potential rather than flattened off. With a race just one day ago and form pointing sharply upward, this is one to keep watching.
