Trained by Andrew Slattery at Thurles in County Tipperary, Letiza broke her duck at Gowran Park in August 2023, then had to wait nearly three years before winning again. Her second and third victories came recently — including a win at Roscommon just this week — which marks a notable shift upward in her fortunes. The yard itself is in strong form, with 62 winners sent out this season, so Letiza is part of a team that knows how to get horses to the line.

Her recent form shows what looks like genuine momentum. In her last six runs she has finished first, then fourth twice, second, eleventh, and sixth, suggesting she is competitive most weeks and occasionally finding the winners' enclosure.
