The distance range of a mile and one furlong to a mile and two furlongs is clearly where this horse is happiest: two wins from six races at those trips works out at 33%, or one in every three starts, which is a genuinely strong return and suggests the team know exactly where to place it for maximum effect. The first career win came at Lingfield Park in January 2024, and the most recent came at Cheltenham in November 2025 — two very different tracks, which speaks to a degree of versatility.

That Cheltenham win is worth dwelling on. Jockey Sam Twiston-Davies chose to race wide, on the outside of the field — a route that looked eccentric at the time, with Twiston-Davies himself joking he probably looked silly after watching the horse ahead of him go the other way. Trainer James Owen had been insistent on the tactic, and it paid off. It's the kind of detail that separates a good team from a great one: knowing your horse well enough to back an unconventional call when it matters.

The one area where results haven't quite matched the ambition is at Class 2 level — the upper tier of British racing — where Lavender Hill Mob has drawn a blank in seven attempts. Zero wins from seven races at that standard is a clear pattern, and it suggests there's still a ceiling to break through against the very best. The recent form — a win sandwiched between some mid-pack finishes — keeps things interesting, and with the horse racing as recently as yesterday, this is a career very much still in progress.
