Lauro's Legend

Recent form suggests the horse remains competitive at some level. In its last six outings, Lauro's Legend has picked up a couple of placings, finishing third and then fourth within the past month. It was out again just yesterday, which shows it is still racing regularly and, from a trainer's perspective, still worth sending to the track. That said, a horse without a win at six years old and thirteen attempts is unlikely to suddenly transform into a winner. P A Fahy's yard at Leighlinbridge has been productive this season with nine winners, so the trainer clearly knows how to get horses across the line, but Lauro's Legend remains stubbornly resistant to joining that tally. This is a horse that seems to have settled into its level — capable of running reasonably well on its day, but not quite good enough to win.
