What we do know is the breeding. Lair Du Laube is a five-year-old by Buck's Boum, out of a mare by Dom Alco — two names that will mean something to followers of French-bred horses in particular. Whether that pedigree translates into ability on the track is the question that only racing will answer.
For now, the slate is clean. No wins, no losses, no patterns to read into. The first race tells us everything.
