It took her a while to get there, but when it arrived it was at a track that rewards honest, consistent horses — exactly the kind Lady Henrietta appears to be. Five months on, she is still active and still racing, which tells you something about her durability if not yet her dominance.

Her recent form makes for interesting reading: a win, a second, and a third sit among her last six outings, alongside a couple of blanks. That's three finishes in the frame from six races — a solid recent run that suggests she is in decent shape right now and not just making up the numbers. The key question is whether she can convert those near-misses into another trip to the winners' enclosure.

Sean Bowen has been her most regular partner, riding her in 7 of her 18 races — but the two haven't yet managed to win together, which is a curious subplot.
