La Tache

With one win and one place from four races, La Tache is winning roughly one in every four starts—a respectable beginning for a young horse still learning its trade. It races for G M Lyons's yard at Dunsany in County Meath, a stable that has already sent out 43 winners this season, so the horse is in experienced hands. At this early stage of its career, La Tache has shown enough to suggest it could develop into something interesting, though like most two-year-olds, it remains very much a work in progress. The recent win at The Curragh will have given the yard confidence that the colt belongs in competitive company, and its next few races could be telling.
