The most interesting thing about her is the direction she runs. Trainer Stuart Edmunds has noted, with some bemusement, that she seems to drift left wherever she goes — yet until very recently she had only ever won on right-handed tracks. Nobody could quite explain it, and perhaps she couldn't either. That quirk has narrowed her options, but it's also shaped the whole strategy around her season. The yard has had its eye on the Challenger Series Chase Final at Warwick all along, and the fact that Warwick runs left-handed has the team quietly confident it suits her well. When a trainer says they've "been planning for that all season," it means this horse has been given a specific job to do.

Market Rasen is where she looks most at home on paper — two wins from just three visits, a record that would make any racecourse executive want her name on the entry form. Her first career win came there in May 2024, and she's returned to win again since. Finding a track where a horse thrives is half the battle, and she has clearly found one.

She typically runs in Class 4 races, which sit in the middle tier of the sport — competitive enough to mean something, but not yet at the very highest level. At that grade she's won 2 from 13, or around 1 in every 6 races, which is honest rather than dominant. Her most recent win came at Newbury five weeks ago, and she's had a short break since. Jockey Ciaran Gethings has ridden her ten times for a single win together, though that modest record may say more about the races she's been entered in to manage her handicap mark than any lack of partnership.

Edmunds runs a busy yard — 24 winners already this season — and Kosasiempre has a clear target ahead of her. She's a horse with a plan, and the plan is coming together.
