That best came at Lingfield Park on 2nd December 2025, when Knight Of Glory registered his first career win. Lingfield is an interesting track — an artificial all-weather surface that suits horses who relax and travel smoothly through a race, rather than those who want to race on pure speed from the front. A win there suggests Knight Of Glory has some tactical intelligence about him. The fact that it came seven months ago, and he has not threatened to win since, is the question hanging over him right now.

He is trained by David Menuisier, whose yard in Pulborough, West Sussex has sent out 20 winners already this season — a productive operation by any measure. Menuisier has a reputation for placing his horses carefully and being patient with younger ones, so the dip in form since December may simply be a trainer working through different races and conditions to find where this horse is happiest. The fact that Knight Of Glory raced just one day ago tells you the team still believe there is a performance waiting to come out.

At this stage of his career, five races is a small sample. Plenty of horses take time to work out what they are doing, and a three-year-old who has already broken his duck and shown the ability to place is not a horse to write off. Whether he can rediscover the form that won at Lingfield — and do it more consistently — is the story still being written.
