Kisiyra

The recent form makes for mixed reading. That fourth place from six races ago, and another fourth more recently, show she can get into contention — but the string of mid-pack finishes in between, including an eleventh, paints a picture of inconsistency. At five years old, she is not a youngster still finding her feet, which makes the lack of a first win harder to explain away as inexperience.

Kisiyra is trained by David Thompson, who operates out of Bolam in County Durham. The yard has sent out nine winners this season, so there is clearly ability in the string. Whether Kisiyra can add herself to that list remains the question — but with a race just yesterday, she is clearly still being kept busy and the team have not given up on her.
