Kinturk Nelson

The recent form makes for mixed reading. After a run of struggles — finishes of eleventh, tenth, and seventh — Kinturk Nelson has shown signs of finding some form, putting together back-to-back third-place finishes before dropping to seventh most recently. That's not a trajectory anyone would call encouraging, but the two thirds do at least suggest the horse is capable of competing respectably on its day. A 36-day break since the last run is a short enough gap to suggest everything is fine, and the team may simply be waiting for the right opportunity.

Kinturk Nelson is trained by Thomas Gibney, who operates out of Trim in County Meath. The yard has sent out five winners this season, so Gibney clearly knows how to get a horse to the line first — the challenge will be finding the right race to unlock whatever Kinturk Nelson has to offer. At seven years old, this isn't a young horse still learning the ropes. The clock is ticking on its career, which makes finding that elusive first win more pressing with each outing.
