These are the races designed for horses like this, and yet that's precisely where it has drawn a blank. It hasn't been for lack of trying; it keeps getting entered, keeps running, but the Class 5 record alone tells a story about how competitive racing can be even at that level.

Trainer Daragh Bourke, based in Waterbeck, has had a decent season with 10 winners from the yard, so the operation clearly knows how to find a race for the right horse. Jockey Cian Quirke has had the ride most often, winning once from their eight races together — roughly 1 in 8 — which mirrors the horse's overall profile pretty closely. A raced just one day ago, Kellie's Dream remains active and in the picture, which at nine is no small thing. Whether another win is coming is another question entirely, but this horse isn't done yet.
