That one win came at Fairyhouse in February 2025, and it remains her only career victory fifteen months later. Her regular jockey is Mark Walsh, one of the most respected riders in Irish racing, who has been aboard for eight of her nine races and partnered her for that Fairyhouse success. Together they win roughly 1 in every 8 races, which reflects how consistently she runs rather than how often she ends up in front.
Behind the scenes, the stable she comes from is hard to overstate. Willie Mullins, based in Muine Bheag in County Carlow, is the dominant force in Irish jump racing — and this season his yard has sent out 220 winners. That is not just a number; it means Mullins and his team are operating at a pace that most trainers could not match in a decade. A horse that trains with Mullins and earns rides from Mark Walsh is clearly considered to have something worth developing.
And Mullins himself seems to think there is more to come. His view, shared recently, is that a move into chasing — where horses jump fences rather than hurdles — could unlock something in her, particularly if she steps up in distance. That combination of a new discipline and longer trips is often exactly what a horse needs to find a higher gear, and given the quality of the team around her, it would be unwise to write her off. The best of Karoline Banbou may well still be ahead of her.
