Kalpana has won 4 of its 8 races at that level, again winning exactly half the time. That is not luck. It suggests a horse that actually raises its game when the competition gets tougher, which is the opposite of what most horses do.

Ascot deserves its own sentence. Two wins from four races at one of the most famous racecourses in the world, including back-to-back Class 1 victories on 19 October 2024 and 18 October 2025 — almost exactly a year apart. The horse's recent form reads 1-1-2-2-2-3, meaning two wins followed by three runner-up finishes and a third — relentlessly competitive, even when not winning.

Most recently, Kalpana won at Newbury just this week, which means it arrives at whatever comes next in the best possible shape. A career that began with a first win at Wolverhampton in January 2024 has quickly escalated to repeated success at the very top level. Whatever Kalpana does next, it goes in as a horse with a proven habit of winning when it matters.
