The breakthrough came in 2023 at Killarney, and from there the pieces started to fall into place slowly. What Millman has figured out is that this horse has very specific preferences — and when you match them, he performs. On fast, dry ground, he wins roughly 1 in every 4 or 5 races he runs (2 from 9, a 22% win rate), which is a meaningfully better record than his overall numbers suggest. Get him over a mile and three to a mile and four furlongs, and the picture improves again: 3 wins from 15 races at those distances, a 20% win rate. In racing, finding a horse's ideal conditions is half the battle.

His most recent win came at Windsor in July 2025 — and Millman was upbeat about where the horse had arrived as a racehorse, describing him as looking genuinely good after what he called a campaign "with a vengeance." Three wins in a season for a horse that had previously frustrated everyone was a real turnaround. The current form figures — a second and a second among his last six outings — suggest he hasn't fallen apart since that run, just not quite grabbed another win yet.

He raced just yesterday, which tells you this is a horse kept busy and in good condition. At Class 4 level, he wins 1 in every 10 races at that grade, which is modest, but his best performances at the right trip on dry ground point to a horse that can punch above that when the stars align. Millman knows what it took to get here, and the patience has clearly been worth it.
