The career has had its peaks. A first win came at Tramore in May 2024, and a second followed at Kelso in October of that year — a Scottish track a long way from home base at Cappagh in County Waterford, which suggests the team were willing to travel when they spotted an opportunity. That Kelso win is now 19 months in the rear-view mirror, however, and the last six races have not produced a victory, with a third place the best of them. The most recent outing was just yesterday, which means this is a horse in active campaign, being kept busy and pointed at opportunities by trainer Declan Queally.

Queally's yard has sent out 26 winners this season, which indicates a stable in decent form and capable of getting horses to the track ready to run. The most regular partner in the saddle has been Mr A Harvey, who has ridden Jumping Susie in 8 of her 29 races and won once together — a win rate of 12%, or 1 from 8. That's a modest return, but it speaks to a degree of familiarity and loyalty between horse and rider.

At Class 4 level — the bread-and-butter tier of British racing, a long way from the top table — Jumping Susie has won 1 from 7 races, or roughly 1 in 7 at that level. That's where the team have found their best results, and it's where any future wins are most likely to come. Recent form (finishing out of the places in several of the last six runs) suggests the winning thread has been hard to find lately, but with a yard in form and a horse that clearly handles a busy schedule, the next win may not be far away.
