Janora is a three-year-old still finding her feet on the track. She has run once so far, finishing sixth, and is trained by
Seb Spencer at Malton in Yorkshire. Spencer's yard has been in good form this season, sending out 13 winners already, so there is clearly quality work happening in that corner of North Yorkshire. For a horse this early in her career, a single run tells you almost nothing — plenty of horses need time to understand what racing is about, and a debut sixth is far from the end of the story. Whether Janora improves from here will depend on what Spencer sees in her schooling and how she settles into the rhythm of raceday. She is still very much a work in progress.
