Itsalladream

Trained by Paul John Gilligan out of Athenry in County Galway, Itsalladream has been a quiet contributor to a yard that has sent out 5 winners already this season. Jack G Gilligan has been in the saddle for 10 of the horse's 15 races, winning once together — so about 1 in every 10 rides — a partnership that clearly has history even if the results haven't always followed.

The two victories tell a neat geographical story. The first came at Galway in September 2024, which must have felt like something of a homecoming given the yard is based just up the road in Athenry. The second — and most recent — arrived at Roscommon in June 2025, now 11 months ago. Since then, the last 6 races have produced a string of mid-pack finishes: a third being the highlight, with a couple of fifths and a tenth mixed in. That run of form isn't alarming — this is a horse that tends to place rather than win — but there's no question the wins have dried up.

What keeps Itsalladream interesting is that it raced just yesterday, which means it is bang in the middle of an active campaign right now. Whatever the immediate future holds, this is clearly a horse still in the thick of things at seven years old, still being pointed at races, still finishing close enough to suggest the yard hasn't given up on finding another day when everything clicks. Whether that day comes at a familiar track like Galway or Roscommon — where it has already shown it can win — remains to be seen, but the recent record suggests the pieces are at least still on the board.
