That transformation is the foundation of the whole story. The highlight of his recent career came at Ripon on 16 August 2025, where he won a top-level Class 2 race — one of the better prizes a horse like this can realistically target. His most recent runs have been quieter — a tenth, a fourth, a fourteenth and similar results — but he raced just yesterday, which tells you everything about his durability. At nine, still competing at the top end of what he does, Intervention has earned every bit of the "legend" label his trainer gave him.
