The first win came at Clonmel in January 2026, and the most recent at Tramore just this week — on 20 April — so this is a horse very much in the middle of its story. Having raced as recently as yesterday, I Walked The Line is about as current as it gets.
What makes this profile slightly unusual is that two races is a very small sample. We do not yet know how this horse handles a step up in class, tougher competition, or different conditions. What we do know is that the trainer behind it, W P Mullins, is one of the most formidable operations in Irish racing. Based at Muine Bheag in Co Carlow, the Mullins yard has sent out 230 winners already this season alone — a number that puts most stables to shame and reflects a level of organisation, horsepower, and expertise that is hard to overstate. When a horse comes out of that environment unbeaten, it tends to mean something.
Two races, two wins, a top-tier trainer, and still racing. There is plenty left to find out about I Walked The Line, but so far it has given absolutely nothing away.
