Hoshi

Hoshi is a two-year-old who made its debut just over a week ago, finishing fifth in its first outing. The horse raced for trainer Alan King, whose yard at Wroughton in Wiltshire has enjoyed a strong season, sending out 57 winners already. One poor run is nothing to judge a young horse by — many of the best racehorses in training stumbled in their early races — but Hoshi will need to show improvement if it is to develop into a worthwhile prospect. King's yard is known for bringing along promising young stock, so there may be more to come.
