Hierax

Hierax is a two-year-old still finding their feet in racing. The horse has run once so far, finishing fifth, which is exactly what you might expect from a young animal making their debut. Trainer W J Haggas, based in Newmarket, is one of the most successful yards in Britain — he has already sent out 170 winners this season — so there is every reason to think Hierax will develop as time goes on. The horse raced just yesterday, suggesting the trainer believes there is more to come and is keen to get racing experience into the animal quickly. It is far too early to draw any conclusions about what Hierax might achieve, but a yard with Haggas's record knows how to nurture young talent.
