He's On Fire

He's On Fire is a five-year-old trained by W P Mullins, one of the most powerful yards in jump racing, operating out of Muine Bheag in County Carlow, Ireland. The scale of that operation is hard to overstate — the yard has sent out 230 winners already this season alone. That's not a team that bothers with mediocre horses, so when a Mullins-trained horse wins on debut and then goes and wins again, it's worth paying attention.

The first win came at Carlisle in February 2026, a cold midwinter afternoon in the north of England. The second came at Fairyhouse this April, a track with genuine prestige in Irish racing. Two different countries, two different tracks, two wins. Whatever He's On Fire has, it travels well.

With only two races to go on, there's plenty still unknown about how high this horse can go or what kind of opposition he'll face next. But right now, he's unbeaten, in form, and sitting in one of the best yards in the sport. That's a combination that tends to attract attention.
