Halimede

Her recent form has been uneven. In her last six races, she has finished second, first, first, then three disappointing outings where she trailed home in eighth and ninth place. That suggests inconsistency, but it is worth noting that the two wins came on her home ground at courses where she clearly runs well, and the poor efforts may have come at distances or conditions that did not suit her as well. She was last out just a day ago and remains actively campaigned by Sir Mark Prescott's Newmarket yard, which has sent out 47 winners this season and clearly believes there is more to come from her. With a career record of two wins and three places from six races, Halimede has the record of a horse still learning her trade but showing enough promise to justify further opportunities at the distance and courses where she thrives.
