Green Triangle

On normal ground, Green Triangle is at his best. Both of his wins have come in those conditions, making him 2 from 12 (17%, or roughly 1 in 6) when the track rides as expected. That is a meaningful pattern. Soft or firm ground has produced nothing, so whoever saddles him next will be keeping a close eye on the weather forecast.

Green Triangle raced just yesterday, which tells you the yard is keeping him busy and targeting opportunities as they arise. His last six results — a mix of mid-field finishes — suggest the win at Gowran has not immediately sparked a purple patch. But with 79 winners already this season from the Crisford yard, this is a team that knows how to place a horse. When the right race comes up on normal ground at around a mile, Green Triangle has shown he can make it count.
