His most recent win came at Wolverhampton back in November 2023 — over 30 months ago now — and he has not been able to add to that tally across his last six runs. His recent form reads 5-–-4-12-5-4, which suggests a horse who is finding the frame occasionally but not quite getting his head in front. The gap in that sequence means he did not finish in a recorded position on one occasion, and that run at 12th is his worst of the bunch. He raced just yesterday, so he is very much still active and still being aimed at opportunities.

Where Graffiti tends to look his best is over a mile to a mile and two furlongs. At those distances he has won 2 of his 12 races — roughly 1 in 6 — which is a meaningfully better return than his overall record suggests. Finding the right trip matters enormously in horse racing, and the numbers here point clearly to what suits him. He has spent most of his career competing at Class 6, the lowest level of British racing, where he has won 2 from 15 — about 1 in every 7 or 8 attempts. That is the level where he belongs, and there is no shame in that: every race needs runners, and horses who compete reliably at this level are the backbone of the sport.

He is trained by Gary Brown at Fox Hill in Wiltshire, a small yard that has sent out one winner so far this season. His most regular partner in the saddle is Miss Isabelle Ryder, who has ridden him nine times without a win together — though with a horse whose victories have been as rare as Graffiti's, that perhaps says more about the horse than the rider. Graffiti is not a star. But he is a seven-year-old professional who knows his job, and his the yard will be hoping the right race at the right distance comes along soon.
