Godsend

The partnership between Godsend and his regular jockey Luke Morris has been especially productive. Morris has ridden the horse eight times and won five of those races, a 62 percent win rate that suggests genuine understanding between rider and horse. Trainer Cian Collins, who runs his yard from Navan in County Meath, oversees a stable that has already sent out 20 winners this season, and Godsend has become one of his steadier performers.

The numbers get sharper when you look at what Godsend actually likes. On fast, dry ground he is unbeaten—four wins from four races, a perfect record that no amount of luck can fully explain. Over distances between a mile and six furlongs and two miles, he has won three of his last four outings (75 percent), the exact sweet spot for his talents. In lower-class races he thrives too, with three wins from four attempts. Put all those conditions together—dry ground, middle-distance racing, lower-class company—and you have a horse worth backing. His recent form has been genuinely encouraging: he has won three of his last six races, most recently at Nottingham on May 20, 2025, and is actively campaigned, having raced as recently as yesterday.
