The first win came at Naas on 27 April 2026, which is no small stage — Naas is one of Ireland's sharper tracks, the kind of place that finds out a horse quickly. Glyfada passed that test without fuss. Less than three weeks later, the team sent it back out at Killarney and got the same result. Two races, two wins. When a horse does that, it tells you the first win wasn't a fluke.
Glyfada is trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien at Ballyroe in County Tipperary, and the yard has been in excellent form this season with 30 winners already on the board. A stable firing at that rate tends to know when it has something worth running, which makes Glyfada's unblemished record feel even more deliberate. These aren't horses being thrown into races to fill a card — they're being placed to win, and Glyfada has obliged every single time.
At three years old and with only two races behind it, there is almost nothing to go on in terms of ceiling. But a horse that wins on debut, wins again at a different track two weeks later, and does it all without a single stumble is one worth keeping an eye on. Whatever comes next, Glyfada has given its the yard every reason for confidence.
