That one win came at Kempton Park in March 2025, and it clearly meant something. Dixon's yard, based in Rolleston, Nottinghamshire, has sent out 35 winners this season alone, so this is an operation that knows when a horse is ready. Dixon is unambiguous: he believes Glamour Show is getting back to that kind of form and that another win is coming. After finishing third at Chester last month — a proper track, a proper field — that assessment does not look like wishful thinking.

Her recent run of form backs him up. In her last six races she has recorded finishes of fourth, eleventh, sixth, fourth, third and third — reading those in reverse, that is a horse who struggled mid-campaign and has been finding her feet again ever since. The eleventh stands out as the low point, but the two thirds either side of it suggest it was a blip rather than a pattern, and her last two outings have been her best of the recent stretch.

Most of her racing has come at Class 4 level — a solid mid-tier of British racing — where she has won 1 from 11, or roughly 1 in every 11 races at that grade. Jockey Charles Bishop has been aboard for seven of those races and taken the partnership to its only win together, giving him a win rate of 14% on her, which is actually a decent return by any measure. That familiarity between horse and rider can matter when a horse is on the cusp of winning again.

She races today, and with her trainer publicly confident and her form trending upward, Glamour Show arrives at the track as a horse with a quiet case to be made for her.
