The win came at Salisbury on 21 July — four weeks back now — which gives Gentle Hurricane a nice rhythm of racing through the summer. Trained by A M Balding at Kingsclere in Hampshire, the horse is part of a yard that has been firing consistently this season with 202 winners already under its belt. That kind of stable backing and expertise matters, especially for a young horse still finding its feet.

What stands out is the simplicity of the record: two races, one win, one place. No failures, no beaten favourite days. Gentle Hurricane has done nothing wrong yet, and at two years old with racing continuing week after week, there is clearly more to come from this one.
