The most recent win came at The Curragh just this week, on 4 May 2026. The Curragh is the heartbeat of Irish flat racing — a wide, sweeping track in County Kildare where the best horses in the country are measured against each other. Winning there means something. It is not a place where ordinary horses stumble into victory.
Before that, Genesis had opened its account at Dundalk back in August 2025. Dundalk is an all-weather track that runs year-round and suits horses who are consistent rather than explosive — horses that simply keep doing their job. That Genesis won there first, then followed it up with a win at the Curragh, suggests a horse that has genuinely improved rather than one that got lucky on a soft day.
Rory Cleary has been the regular partner in the saddle, riding Genesis in 7 of its 19 races and winning once together — a win rate of around 1 in 7, or roughly 14%. That is a modest record, but the partnership clearly has a good understanding, and the recent Curragh win came with that combination in place. Michael Mulvany trains the horse out of Kells in County Meath, and the yard is in good form this season — 20 winners already — which suggests Genesis is being produced at a time when everything around it is working well.
At five years old, Genesis is in the prime window for a flat horse, experienced enough to know what racing is about but not yet past its best. Two wins and five places from 19 races might not sound like the stuff of legend, but a horse that just raced yesterday, won at the Curragh this week, and is clearly improving in form right now is one worth keeping an eye on.
