Recent form tells a mixed story. In the last six outings, Gal has managed a third-place finish and a second place, but also two eighth-place runs and a fifth. The horse was out just a day ago, which means the yard are keeping it busy and keen to find another winning opportunity. Mark Loughnane's Rock Farm yard in Worcestershire has sent out 25 winners this season, so the trainer clearly knows how to get horses to the winners' enclosure, which may work in Gal's favour as the campaign continues. At three years old, there is still time for this horse to develop and string together the kind of consistent form that turns a single win into a genuine record. For now, though, Gal remains a horse with undoubted potential at its best distance but also a frustrating habit of finishing out of the frame.
