The bigger concern is that Fuseboard has never won at Class 4 level (0 wins from 3 attempts), suggesting it struggles when stepped up to the top rung of competitive races it has faced so far.

There is also a puzzle with the jockey pairing. Joey Haynes, who has ridden Fuseboard most often, has yet to record a winner from five attempts. When a rider and horse combine without success that many times, it can sometimes indicate a mismatch in style or communication — worth watching if Banham decides on a different partner for the next race.
