Those two wins came in quick succession — first at Chelmsford on 30 October 2025, then at Kempton Park just three weeks later on 19 November. Both are all-weather tracks, which is worth noting; some horses simply take to the synthetic surface and thrive on it in a way they never quite do on turf. Whether that's the case here remains to be seen, but the form is there. Jockey Tyler Heard has been in the saddle for all six races and both wins, which matters more than it might sound — a young horse benefits from familiarity, and that partnership clearly works.
From The Hip races at Class 5 level, which is the bread-and-butter end of British racing — competitive enough, but not the highest tier. The 1-in-3 win rate at that level is solid rather than spectacular, though for a horse still learning its trade at two, it's a very healthy foundation. Trainer Mark Usher operates out of Upper Lambourn in Berkshire and has sent out 15 winners this season, so this isn't a yard short of confidence or form.
The one question mark is the gap since that last win. From The Hip hasn't raced in roughly four months, and horses can come back from a break rusty or raring to go — there's no way of knowing until the stalls open. But a yard with 15 winners on the board this season isn't likely to run a horse before it's ready. If From The Hip returns in anything like the form it showed in those back-to-back wins, it will be well worth watching.
