Fortunes Dawn

Trained by William Young Jnr at Crossford in South Lanarkshire, Fortunes Dawn is part of a relatively small operation—the yard has sent out just one winner this season. For a horse approaching its eighth year without a recorded victory, time is becoming a factor. Some horses find their level later in their careers and produce unexpected wins; others, like this one so far, settle into the middle ranks of the field where they occasionally threaten but rarely deliver.
