The two wins are particularly well-placed. The first came at Limerick in July 2025, and the second at Leopardstown the following month — a course that carries real prestige in Irish racing and where competition tends to be a cut above. Winning there as a young horse is a meaningful marker. That Leopardstown success came on 21 August 2025, which the records show as nine months ago, though with a race just yesterday, Floresta is very much still in active campaign.
The recent form string of 10-5-1-2-1-3 tells an interesting story. Read right to left — oldest to newest — there's a third, then a win, then a second, then another win, then a fifth, then a tenth. The middle section of that sequence is impressive: two wins sandwiched around a runner-up finish suggests Floresta was in the form of its life through that period. The tailing off to fifth and tenth more recently is worth watching, but one bad run rarely means much, and the horse has raced just yesterday, so the team at Coolaghknock Glebe clearly haven't lost faith.
That yard is worth paying attention to. Trained by JP Murtagh, the operation has sent out 54 winners already this season — a volume that reflects a well-organised, ambitious stable with horses good enough to keep winning. When a yard of that strength keeps running a horse, it usually means they believe there is more to come. With Floresta already proven at Leopardstown and still only four years old, that confidence seems well-founded.
