Epsom is one of the most demanding training environments in the country — the rolling, undulating terrain is genuinely used as a workout tool — so horses coming out of that yard tend to be fit. The question is whether Baker can unlock whatever is holding Fizzy Bear back. Having raced as recently as yesterday, the horse is clearly in active work and being given every opportunity to turn things around.

Three is still a young age in racing terms, and some horses simply take time to figure out what is being asked of them. Fizzy Bear hasn't placed once yet, but with a trainer in form and a run just 24 hours ago, the next chapter could read very differently.
