Together they have won 4 of their 18 races — roughly 1 in every 4.5 — which is a significantly better return than Fever Dream manages with anyone else in the saddle. That kind of chemistry between horse and rider matters more than people often realise. Tudor clearly understands how this horse wants to be ridden, and the numbers back that up emphatically.

Behind the scenes, Christian Williams has been doing something right at his yard on the Welsh coast in Ogmore-By-Sea. Twenty-five winners sent out this season is a strong return for a stable of that size, and Fever Dream's recent win at Warwick is part of that momentum. Williams has a reputation for placing his horses shrewdly, and getting a horse that wins just 6% of its races at its usual level — a single win from 17 attempts — into the winner's enclosure at all is no small achievement.

Fever Dream only had its first career win in June 2024 at Perth, which means this horse came to winning relatively late. It raced for a long time before it figured things out, and now at eight years old, with four career wins and plenty of experience, it seems to have found a level of consistency that was missing in its younger days. It ran just yesterday, so the yard will need to monitor how it comes out of that race — but based on everything the last six weeks have shown, Fever Dream is a horse worth keeping a close eye on.
