The standout fact about Eupator is his record at Wolverhampton, where he has won both his races from only five attempts at the track. That works out at a 40 per cent win rate there, a remarkable win rate that sets him apart from his overall form of winning roughly 1 in every 11 races. His first victory came on 23 January 2026, and he won again just three days later at the same track, but he has not found the winner's circle in the seven months since. Most of his success has come over a mile and a quarter to a mile and two furlongs—he has won both races over those distances from nine attempts—and he performs best on normal ground, where he has won 2 from 10 races. When ridden by Sean Levey, his regular partner, Eupator shows a significantly sharper record: 2 wins from 9 races together, a 22 per cent return that is more than double his overall win rate.

Hannon has clearly been working to solve the puzzle of what brings out Eupator's best. The trainer noted earlier this year that the horse ran disappointingly at Yarmouth but remained confident he could do better, and when Eupator won at Wolverhampton his yard suggested they had finally cracked the distance question—though they also acknowledged a penalty from winning would likely push him up the weights quickly. His recent form has been patchy, with no wins in his last six races, but his most recent outing was just a day ago, meaning he remains very much in active training. At Class 5 level, the lowest tier he usually contests, he has won 2 from 8 races, a 25 per cent return that is his strongest indicator of where he belongs. The challenge now is getting him back to Wolverhampton or finding another track where he can recapture that winning form.
