Trained by Gavin Cromwell at Navan, Emotional Hedging is part of a yard in excellent shape. Cromwell's operation has already sent out 96 winners this season, which speaks to the quality of horsemanship and the standard of horses coming through the stable. Being in such a form yard — where horses are regularly winning races and getting the best preparation — is a real advantage for a young runner still learning the game. The most recent outing was a place, but with that fresh victory just behind it, Emotional Hedging appears to be building momentum rather than struggling. For a horse that has barely raced twice and is still only two years old, this is genuinely promising early-career form.
