That fifth-place finish is worth keeping an eye on. It is not a result that sets the pulse racing, but moving from eighth to fifth is a step in the right direction, and with Richard and Peter Fahey pulling the strings at Musley Bank in North Yorkshire, there is every reason to think this horse is still learning its trade. The Fahey yard has sent out nine winners already this season, so they clearly know how to get a horse ready to perform when the moment arrives. Elias Escape raced just yesterday, meaning this is very much a horse in the middle of its story rather than at the end of it.
At this stage, patience is the name of the game. Some horses take time to figure out what racing is all about, and a yard with the Faheys' experience is well placed to find the right opportunity when this one is ready to strike.
