Dublin Bay

The recent form makes interesting reading. Reading right to left — from oldest to newest — the last six runs show a horse that has been gradually clicking into gear: 5th, 6th, 3rd, 4th, then a win, then a 5th last time out just yesterday. That victory at Wolverhampton on 10 April came four weeks ago, so Dublin Bay is busy and clearly being kept in a rhythm by the team. The 5th on its most recent outing is worth keeping in perspective — a horse coming off a win and running again the very next day is being tested hard, and the form holds up well enough given the workload.

The journey started at Ffos Las in Wales back in July 2025, where Dublin Bay took its first career win. Ffos Las is a tight, turning track that tends to suit nippy, adaptable horses — and getting off the mark there suggests Dublin Bay can handle a variety of challenges. The step up to Wolverhampton, an all-weather oval in the Midlands, for the most recent win shows the horse isn't limited to one type of track, which is a useful trait as a young horse still figuring out its best trip and conditions.

Behind all of this is trainer Ollie Sangster, based in Marlborough in Wiltshire. The yard has sent out 42 winners so far this season, which is the mark of a stable that knows what it's doing — horses trained there tend to turn up fit, ready, and with a plan. For a three-year-old like Dublin Bay, being in confident, high-volume hands like that is a real advantage. The horse is learning its trade at pace, and with a trainer in that kind of form, the next few months should tell us a great deal about just how high Dublin Bay's ceiling might be.
