Both of his wins have come at Lingfield Park, and that detail is worth dwelling on. He has raced there 18 times — more than anywhere else — and it is clearly a track that suits him. Whether it is the tight turns of the all-weather circuit or simply the feel of the place, Lingfield is where Dubai Harbour finds his best form. His most recent win came there in February 2025, and before that he struck on the same track in December 2024. Two wins from 18 races at one venue works out at roughly 1 in every 9 — not spectacular on paper, but remarkable when you consider how rarely horses find a track that genuinely clicks with them.

He does his best work over a mile and three furlongs to a mile and a half, and on normal ground those two conditions together have produced both wins. In 13 races at that distance range he has won twice — around 1 in 6 — which is a decent return for a horse operating at Class 6 level, the entry-level tier of British racing. Pat Phelan, based at Epsom in Surrey, has had him in the yard throughout, and the team have sent out eight winners this season, so there is clearly plenty of work being done. Jockey Paddy Bradley has partnered him in 15 of his 25 races, a consistent combination that speaks to a settled, professional set-up even if the pair have only managed one win together.

The honest truth is that Dubai Harbour is not going to trouble the top races in Britain — his career is built around finding the right conditions at the right course, and when everything lines up at Lingfield over a middle distance on normal ground, he delivers. He raced just yesterday, which tells you the team are keeping him busy and in good nick. His last win was 15 months ago, but with a horse like this, the next opportunity at Lingfield could change that quickly.
