To put that simply, every time Dubai Days turns up at Ayr, there is a better than 1-in-3 chance he is going to win. His most recent win came at Ayr just 8 weeks ago, in February 2026, and he has raced as recently as yesterday, so this is very much a horse in the thick of his season. He got his first win at Ayr back in December 2021, and the track has brought out something special in him ever since.

His trainer, Nick Alexander — based in Leslie, Fife, a yard that has sent out 19 winners already this season — has spoken warmly about the horse's toughness and durability. After a recent Ayr win, Alexander said he found Dubai Days genuinely brave: carrying weight, on testing ground, at an age when most horses have long since retired, and he kept finding more. "Horses like him are hard to come by," was how Alexander put it, and that feels about right. His regular jockey, Bruce Lynn, who has won 6 of their 23 races together — a 26% win rate — noted that Dubai Days usually needs a race or two to hit his stride, which makes his performances all the more impressive when they come.

The next target Alexander has spoken about is the Middle Distance Veterans' Chase Final at Haydock, a big occasion for older horses that Dubai Days looks tailor-made for. He competes mainly in Class 3 races — the solid, competitive middle tier of the sport — and has won 6 of 19 at that level, a 32% win rate. That is a strong record at a standard where the fields are never easy. With the spring campaign well underway and the horse still racing, Dubai Days is showing no signs of slowing down.
